At first i was rather skeptical of how good Wargasm would be. I had never heard of them before and listened to about 5 seconds of a song before going to the gig. Upon arriving i realised that there were alot of people queuing outside the venue: The 1865 in Southampton. Everyone there had an amazing outfit on and amazing piercings. I even saw a few band tees i recognised like Dead Kennedys for example. I also realised alot of people had Wargasm merch on or had gone to their gig last year.
Unfortunately, the first 2 bands were not to my taste which made me wonder whether i would enjoy Wargasm or not. However, everyone there - including the support bands - were very excited for them. In hindsight i now know why.
The build up to them getting on stage was exhillirating and filled everone with adreniline. When they finally did, after what felt like forever, people started moshing immediately. The crowd was finally alive for the first time that night.

I jumped into the pit the first chance i got. Compared to others it was more rough and fast then i has recently experienced. Everyone was pushing with a stronger force then i was used to. At the end i had a few large black bruises on my arms. Personally it doesnt bother me because the moshing was incredibly fun and the music was surprisingly good. Although being a bit more violent then i was accustomed to the pit was still civilised and everyone got scooped up when they fell (including me).
I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to hear Wargasms new album "Venom" live. For their first time performing the album it was amazing, as was the music. I would say it sounded like electronic nu-metal. The drums and bass was great to mosh and jump about to. I highly reccomend seeing this band live.
